Synopsis

Give a kid a classic! Cozy Classics is the popular board book series that presents well-loved stories to children aged 0+ through twelve child-friendly words and twelve needle-felted illustrations.

War and Peace is Leo Tolstoy’s epic masterpiece about love and friendship in aristocratic Russia during the country’s struggle against Napoleon, and is often considered the greatest novel of all time. Now you can share this classic with children of any age.

Review

If you go in  to this book thinking you're going to get the actual story then you would be massively disappointed and let's be honest here.  This is a children's book.  Would they really be able to make it in to a kids book?

Instead what we have here is a gorgeous book that is part children's board book and part arts and craft book.  Normally I would say that would make for a very hit and miss or confused book but that's not the case at all.

What we have is a stunningly beautiful and rather unique take on the legendary book itself.  The twelve simple words and the twelve pictures work together beautifully.  In fact, the pictures are so beautifully done that I would even buy another copy just so I could frame them and put them in my sons walls.

All in all, I'd definitely say that this book and others in the 'Cozy Classics' collection are well worth picking up.  They're beautiful, unique and worth every penny.
