A Marvel Annual From 1979 Including Stories Featuring Spider-Man, Thor and The Silver Surfer!

Review

Marvel Presents The Superheroes is a fantastic find for those that are lucky enough to find a copy.

Containing three stories, one for Silver Surfer, One for the Mighty Thor and one for Spider-Man and each one is as good as the last.

The one thing that I found annoying was the fact that the stories would start in blue and white and then go in to looking normal. I don't know if this was just my copy or if it's like that on all of them but I did find it a little puzzling.

As for the stories themselves, they are the normal high quality associated with the Marvel stories of the 70's. There's action, surprises, twists, turns and humor all rolled in to one without seeming disjointed.

The artwork is superb and really detailed. The action scenes here are some of the best that I have seen in a very long time. They were clearly drawn and exciting without seeming rushed or cluttered.  In that, I would even say that they are definitely up there with some of the best of the era.

I would highly suggest trying to find one of these annuals because they are definitely worth looking for. You won't be disappointed.

Story 4/5
Art 4/5
Overall 8/10
