Review

On this release are 24 classic Tom and Jerry cartoons from the 1940=1946 era and each one is a complete riot.

While some disclaim these cartoons as overly violent, I sit and watch them with my two year old son, who loves them as much as I do.

While the age of some of the material means the cartoons are sometimes are a little 'fuzzy' round the edges, I still think they have done a brilliant job at preserving these.

The lack of extras is majorly disappointing because surely with all the history that Tom and Jerry have behind them, it would have been quite easy to knock a little something together for the DVD surely?

The episodes included here are
Puss Gets The Boot, The Midnight Snack, The Night Before Christmas, Fraidy Cat, Dog Trouble, Puss 'N' Toots, Yankle Doodle Mouse, Sufferin' Cats, The Bowling Alley Cat, Fine Feathered Friend, The Lonesome Mouse, Baby Puss, The Zoot Cat, The Body Guard, Puttin' on the Dog, Mouse Trouble, The Mouse Comes To Dinner, Mouse In Manhattan, Tee for Two, Flirty Birdy, Quiet Please, Springtime for Thomas, The Milky Waif, Trap Happy.

Puss Gets the Boot is a brilliant addition as it's the first cartoon to have paired the now famous cat and mouse together so to have that on the collection was a brilliant addition and well worth the incredibly cheap price.

Highly recommended. It's just a shame about the lack of extras but with entertainment this good, it's not the end of the world.
